Welcome to University Housing

University Housing provides a safe, inclusive living experience for CSUDH students that promotes independence, maximizes their educational experience, and facilitates their personal development. Below are links to helpful information about the various aspects of on-campus living.

APPLY FOR HOUSING

If you plan on living on campus, apply for housing as soon as you can as we have a limited number of spaces. It’s convenient, safe, and affordable. University Housing is available for admitted or currently enrolled, degree-seeking CSUDH students only.

The application for Academic Year 2024-25 is still OPEN.

The Spring 2025 application will open at 10:00am on MONDAY, OCTOBER 28, 2024.


Our main office is located in the Commons Building of the new Residence Hall (building 72 on the CSUDH campus map).  

Our office hours are as follows:

  • Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Saturday, Sunday & Holidays: CLOSED

If you're a current resident in need of assistance AFTER HOURS or on weekends, please contact the on-call RA. If you have any difficulty reaching our staff, University Police dispatchers are also available 24/7 at (310) 243-3639 to assist in reaching our on-call staff.

Housing Residence Hall (Phase 3)  


New Residence Hall & Dining Commons Coming Fall 2026

We are pleased to announce that construction on a new Affordable Student Housing and Dining Commons Project started in February 2024. The Project will consist of a four-story residence hall and a separate one-story dining facility. The Project will be located north of the existing Student Residence Hall, south of International Avenue, and west Birchknoll Drive. The residence hall will house 288 students in a combination of single, double, and triple traditional residence hall style rooms.

Immunization Requirements for Residential Students

Effective Fall 2023, all students living on campus are REQUIRED to submit the following immunization documentation to the Student Health Center: 

  • Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) Vaccine
  • Meningococcal Conjugate (Serogroups A, C, Y, W-135) Vaccine
  • Tetanus-Diphtheria-Pertussis (Tdap) Vaccine
  • Varicella (Chickenpox)
  • COVID-19 Vaccine
  • Tuberculosis (TB) Screening/Risk Assessment (click to download the form)
  • Hepatitis B (age 18 or younger)

Complete immunization records AND the TB Screening Form are REQUIRED for clearance to move into on-campus housing. 

All documents should be submitted to the Immunization Verification Dropbox.
